Die to that which you are, to become that which you desire to be.
Do you want to change your life? Just change it! It’s that simple, right? Well, not always… in fact, not most of the time.
What is crucifixion through hypnotherapy? When we talk about making permanent changes in our lives it is different than changing our hair or our shoes. Our hair and our shoes certainly reflect what we are on the inside, but changing the inside is a whole different ball game.
Look around you. What do you see? What are a couple of the experiences you had today be they good or bad? Pick one that sticks out the most, keep it in mind, and ask yourself this question….are you aware that you created that experience? Now gauge the response in your head. Is there resistance? Does your mind want to tell you that you did not create that experience, that it just happened to you? Well actually there are no experiences other than the ones you are creating for yourself. Now before you react and walk away from this reading, hear me out.
How do you decide what it is that you are going to do next in a day, moment, hour or year? What about other choices? How do you make a choice on what you would like to eat? How do you choose your spouse? Usually we begin with one, then a series of seemingly random choices. These choices, piled high upon one another, will shape what we call our lives. You create your life with your choices, and you take steps to improve and uphold that life. But what if the life you created isn’t satisfying anymore? What if you find yourself to be unhappy and unfulfilled? Is that it? Are you stuck with the life you chose, and the choices you made, and must you just trudge along in this pile of decisions you now call a life?
The answer is a resounding NO! We can change our lives at any time. We can change our circumstances at any time, and we can change our minds at any time. Creating crucifixion through hypnotherapy is simply letting go of that which we used be, to become that which we want to be. There is always a choice to choose again! This whole life is made of our choices and we have the power to make it anything we would like it to be. So where is it that we tend to get stuck and believe we have nowhere to go? At what point is it that most people just give up and decide their circumstances are not changeable?
Usually we reach that point after many attempts to change outside circumstances to suit our likes and dislikes. For example, if Mary doesn’t like her job because her coworker is jealous and her boss is mean, she may try to change her coworker and her boss. When that doesn’t work she may leave her job and go to another, only to find another jealous coworker and and another mean boss….or maybe the other way around. Regardless, Mary will find herself in the same job circumstances until she frees herself of the beliefs that she is carrying inside. That’s right! Mary must change herself in order to find peace and harmony in her workplace.
Does this sound counter-intuitive? If you have never learned about the effect that subconscious beliefs can have on your life it probably does.
Subconscious beliefs are the stored beliefs that we carry with us everywhere we go. They are stored deep within our being, and we unknowingly house them, as they quietly pilot our every move. “Don’t touch that stove, it could be hot.” “Keep your distance from that dog, it may bite.” “If you perform better at a task than your sister she will be secretly jealous and try to sabotage your efforts.”
That last one was for Mary. She has carried this false belief her whole life. Mary believes that when she performs well, those around her are mean and jealous. She creates this environment for herself only to prove that it is true, because that is what her subconscious expects. Whether she is aware of it or not, she feels perfectly comfortable in this environment because she has stored it so deeply within her. In order to rid herself of this false belief, Mary must die to who she is and become someone who believes something different. Only then will the environment around her change.
The belief is operating inside of her, but she is unaware, because the belief was stored inside Mary at an early age. She does not know that it exists and therefore how would she ever know to change it? This rule applies to all of us. If we find ourselves repeating the same pattern over and over, whether it be in the workplace, a relationship, or even in traffic, we can rest assured that there is some kind of message being delivered. There is a false belief at work that we need to take care of.
Crucifixion though hypnotherapy is the process of discovering that false belief and clearing, or alleviating it, so that it can no longer affect our lives. A good hypnotherapist knows that he or she is not the “fixer” of the issue, but the guide who helps a client to use their own higher intelligence to discover the false belief on their own. A hypnotherapist is a facilitator who assists you in working with your higher power to change your own life.
When Mary does discover this belief and clear it, she becomes an entirely new person. Mary attracts new people and new circumstances into her life. She no longer defines her view by the limitations she once had. Mary has a whole new experience. She has forever changed her perspective. Mary has found freedom….at least in the workplace. Other relationships may clear up as well, such as the one between her and her sister. Mary will find herself whistling a happy tune that she never knew was inside of her. In essence, Mary has died to the person she used to be, and become an entirely new person. She had to let go of that old person who carried those false beliefs in order to find that new person. That was Mary’s crucifixion through hypnotherapy. She died to who she was, to become what she can now be.
